INTERMEDIATE TRAILER RACE
Throughout the 2026 Old West season, eligible Intermediate riders are competing for more than payouts and championship titles. At the end of the year, the qualifying Intermediate rider with the highest accumulated earnings will take home a Superior Trailer.
Sponsored by Superior Trailer, the Old West Intermediate Trailer Race rewards consistency, performance, and success throughout the season.
Compete. Earn. Climb the Standings. Win the Trailer.
HOW THE TRAILER RACE WORKS
Eligible Intermediate riders accumulate qualifying earnings throughout the season. To be eligible for the year-end Superior Trailer, riders must compete at a minimum of three qualifying events during the season. The current 2026 standings document continues to list the three-event minimum as a qualification requirement.
Earnings are accumulated by rider, allowing competitors to earn qualifying money aboard multiple horses throughout the year as they work their way up the standings. At the conclusion of the qualifying season, the eligible Intermediate rider with the highest qualifying earnings will be named the Old West Intermediate Trailer Race Champion and receive the Superior Trailer.
