The next Old West Horse Sale will be held at the Wasatch County Event Complex in Heber City, UT on Friday, June 19th - during The Old West Rope Horse Futurity & Road to the Million Event! Join us and witness the sale that’s changing the western performance horse industry—one elite prospect at a time.
At our 2025 horse sale, history was made with a rope horse that sold for $1.7 million—the highest selling rope horse of all time. At the Old West Rope Horse Sale, we don’t just sell horses. We set the bar. Each year, our catalog features elite prospects ranging from yearlings to 3-year-olds—future champions carefully selected for their bloodlines, potential, and performance.

How to Register & Bid:
You can register to bid in-person at the Office during the Gamble at Guthrie event and prior to the horse sale beginning. If you can't attend the horse sale in person, we’ve partnered with CCI.live to allow you to bid from anywhere in the world. Here's how it works:
1. Register to Bid via CCI.live (Available 4 days prior to sale)
2. Watch the Sale Live: Online or in the stands during the Friday night sale | Sale Begins at 6:30 PM MST
3. Place Your Bids: And secure your next champion
*Note: CCI.live requires a pre-authorized hold of $1,000 on a valid credit card to activate bidding privileges.
- This is not a charge, only a hold.
- The hold is released at the conclusion of the sale if your account is in good standing.
- It may take 5–7 days for the release to appear on your card statement.
- You can update your card at any time during the process.
Radiograph Access (X-Rays)
Transparency matters. Radiographs are hosted via Asteris and are available for pre-purchase evaluation by a licensed veterinarian only (at the buyer’s expense).
This repository is restricted to veterinary access only. No radiograph reports will be provided.
Radiographs will be removed immediately following the sale and will not be available for post-purchase viewing.

- All horses sell as-is, where-is, with no warranties expressed or implied
- All bids are final and legally binding
- The highest bidder is the legal purchaser and assumes full responsibility for the horse at the fall of the hammer
- Payment must be made in full on the day of the sale
- Buyer is responsible for all transportation, care, and expenses immediately following the sale
- All sales are final — no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations
- Buyers are responsible for conducting their own due diligence and inspections prior to bidding
- Any disputes will be settled at the sole discretion of Old West, and their decision will be final
